 2010 Summer Drawing WorkshopPortfolio Development Program with an emphasis on DrawingObjective: How a background in the Visual Arts can be an advantage when applied to a variety of employment areas, and to exercise and experience art skills in a new world environment for the 21st Century. Curriculum Overview: A RE-Introduction to the Foundations of Drawing. Applied Visual Arts and Imaging in a post-modern professional society. Projects are all observation based(figure, landscape, still life) and give students flexibility to work within their abilities and to challenge their professional expectations. Students will be introduced to a rich variety of techniques, presentation options and mediums involved in the Art of Drawing. Up to 20 students currently enrolled in Alexandria City Public Schools. Priority given to those with experience in the Visual Arts. TC Williams' College Leadership Program (CLP) Mentoring and Community Service for Head Start. Five weeks in July and August of 2010 College Internships. |
