View of Washington, North Carolina from Across the Pamlico/Tar River Basin 12X24 oil on wood. 2008
Little Washington, North Carloina
.......
Above: The location was cluttered with Road Signs and wires. Tried my best to enjoy being by the banks of the not
so busy rural Route 17, and recall the outstanding scenery before me strikingly reminiscent
of the view the American capital from Virginia across the Potomac.
Below: Print Study for View of Washington North Carolina from across the Pamlico/Tar River Basins. In both versions you can
clearly see the communication tower and the steeple from the episcopal church - located near each other downtown. Ship masts and streetlights
break up the rest of the skyline of Washington. The similarities
beyond the name and location and a few avenues,to the national capitol, only goes so far.
